What “being a citizen” actually means
A practical reading of rights and duties, far from abstract formulas.

Citizenship is often taught as a list of principles. Yet it is lived in very concrete decisions.
Three levels
- What I do alone: respecting a queue, paying what I owe, telling the truth.
- What I do with others: organising, keeping commitments, accepting a collective decision.
- What I demand from my institutions: information, accountability, equal treatment.
The third level loses its force if the first two are empty.
